IndigoBlu *Brown & Teal* Challenge Elizabeth Bennet Tag display.

Well due to the horrid weather conditions recently I've finally had chance to create an entry for the IndigoBlu June Challenge. Please meet Elizabeth Bennet (EB)

The image has been stamped onto water colour card using Ranger *Black Tie* Dye ink. The stamped image has been painted using a variety of IndigoBlu acrylic paints, Peppermint Tea, Pink Iced gem, Townhouse Teal, Banana Custard and Pheasant Bronze.
Tea Dye Distress ink was applied to the outer edge of the EB image then spritzed with water. Blotting the excess water off then drying with a heat tool this gives a distressed or *DISTURBED* look as I often refer to it.. I then repeated the process using Walnut stain.
The background of the Tag which you can just see peeking under the acrylics has been created using Town house Teal and stamped with Hot Cocoa IndigoBlu Acrylics using stamps from IndigoBlu's Tasty Textures A5 set.

The MDF Tag supplied from Stamps Away is 7.5" x 5" in size and is the base for the project. With both background and Elizabeth Bennet image being applied with glue. Hobby House Flowers surround EB with the added bead, button or embellishment from my crafty stash.

The edge of the Tag has been randomly stippled using my finger with a mixture of Hot Cocoa & Pheasant Bronze Acrylics. Embossing powder sprinkled on top and heated raises this giving a perfect texture to apply a light coating of inka-gold Old Silver (again with my finger..!) to add a little shimmer to the finished project.
A beautiful image to work with and she fits in with my home decor perfectly. Thank you for taking time to take a peek..
May your day be full of sunshine... Creative hugs from Tracey xx

Purrr-fect Purr-trait...!!

Life has been extremely busy recently so I thought I would quickly share with you a 5x7 canvas I had fun creating a couple of weeks ago.
I've used Lindsay Mason's Feline Fun Digital Downloads containing Six cat images (of which I used five.) I had tried to use each Kitty separately but they seemed a happier family all together... Hence the Purrr-fect Purr-trait..!! Each having their own character.

The background was created using Tim Holtz Gothic Stencil and IndigoBlu Acrylic Paints, Peppermint Tea and Banana Custard. The cats have been coloured using ProMarkers.

Purrr-fect Purr-trait... Take 2.. Photo Bomb!!

Like most family portraits there is always something that doesn't go quite to plan. So just for a bit of fun I added one of Lindsays Kookie Creatures another Digital Image available to download from Lindsays Etsy Store.  There's nothing like a Photo Bomb to bring an image into the 21st Century, don't you think ..??

Thank you for joining me on my crafting Journey.. Creative Hugs from Tracey xxx

"Percy... sometimes...."

Percy just one of many Digital Downloads by Lindsay Mason available to purchase from Lindsays' Etsy store. Printed and coloured with pro markers using shades and tones of Sepia, Percy has been cut out and raised onto a water colour wash background.

The Quote: Taken from Lindsay Mason Design "Creative Thoughts" A5 Stamp set...
**sometimes we just need to stop, listen to the voice inside and then take another route... seemed to fit quite nicely with the image.

Mat and layered the design has been pasted onto a plywood frame that I upcycled by sanding, painting and beating a few times with a hammer (just to give that distressed look..!!) A little gilding wax added the final touch..

Thank you for taking a peek at my crafting creations.. Creative Hugs from Tracey xx
